Rewrite #1 is Done!As you all know, or if you didn't know, the first in the "UA" series has been undergoing a bit of a revamp. "Why the rewrite?" you may ask. Well, mostly because it needed it... badly. You see, this novel was first written back when I was 14. And over the years I changed and fixed some things as I went. It was a book about adults written by a teenager. A level of proper maturity was missing. Now that yours truly is nearing the age of 30, re-reading the novel made me... well... cringe. "That's not what someone would do or say in that situation... people don't fall in love that fast... the hero doesn't always win." These issues had to be rectified. It needed to be rewritten. After some long months, love, sweat, tears, and pizza... It's finally complete and off to the editor. And now to take a well deserved week off to relax. What's next? Here's a little list of what's to come!
So keep your eyes and ears open, Agents! And report any suspicious activity back to base... or leave a comment, that works too. Mission Blog Complete Derek R. J. Borne Just received a super review from a fan who just finished the 'UA' series! “The Ultimate Agent” series, written by Derek Borne, is one of the best series I have ever read. It is an action packed adventure, with amazing characters that you can get to know really well and will like a lot. And the villains in the three books are villains that will make you really want the good guys to take them down.
Now the first book is where you meet most of the great characters and find out about their back stories. Then the action and intense fights start. The second book is where it gets interesting with some new characters and some new villains that are pretty cool. And the book has so many new twists and turns that you will have to pay attention though out the whole thing because if you don't you will probably miss something good that might be important. For the third book, that is where it gets to the point where some things are being summed up, but then a whole bunch of other points come out which keeps you reading the whole way though. But that’s not where it stops, because at the end of the third book something happens that is one of the biggest surprises that I have ever read so I can't wait for the fourth that will probably be just as good as the others. So all around the “Ultimate Agent” series is one of the best series I have ever read and I would definitely recommend it to any one that likes action, comedy, some romance, and some awesome characters that you will definitely love. The books could not be any better because there was not one part of the series where I wanted to stop reading it. It is an amazing series of books and I don't see any reason why you would not want to read it! Ultraxenopia is the first book in the "Project W.A.R." trilogy, and it's a beautifully written beginning to the series! To begin, this was my first ever dystopian read… and M.A. Phipps is someone who I genuinely believe is a game changer in the author industry. There were so many things that I loved, that I couldn’t find any faults whatsoever. The story of Wynter Reeves is one that takes you through a painful, mysterious and enlightening journey that will have your heart strings pulled in so many different ways. Phipps has definitely redefined what “character” is. It’s one thing to write about emotions, to write about pain. But to make you truly feel the anguish, and undeniably understand how someone feels, and the intricate thought process to their actions, Phipps takes it to a whole other level. M.A. Phipps is a phenomenal artist, and the pages are her canvas. The pacing to every scene was perfect, and each chapter brings something new to the table. You’ll fall in love with every single character that you come across, as they all have their moments to shine and show you what makes them tick, even the ones that only have one line! “Ultraxenopia” is a disease of a book that will latch on and consume you until you’ve finished. Even then, you’ll be screaming for more once you’re done! This is my new favourite novel by far, and needs to be in your To-Be-Read list or in your hands now! Now that I've finished "Ultraxenopia", I can't wait for the sequel! And to make me even more eager, the title was just released on the 19th, and here it is!!! COMING AUGUST 19, 2016M. A. Phipps was born in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1987. In 2009, she moved to London to complete a Bachelor's Degree in Media Communications and Journalism. It was there that she met her husband and they now live in the Southwest where she works fulltime pursuing her true passion: fiction. She enjoys writing any genre, but the majority of her work contains some sort of fantastical element. In 2013, one of her short stories was shortlisted for publication and in the following year, she submitted her first-full length novel to an online writing competition where it was rated second overall out of over two-hundred manuscripts. In 2015, she decided to self-publish her dystopian novel, Ultraxenopia, which was acquired by a publisher five months later. At it's re-release, it became an international bestseller.
